I have a dell power edge 2950 and it has lost it's virtual drive. Also 0 drive is saying offline. How do I get 0 drive back online? Also if I create a new virutal drive will I lose my data on these drives?

Please suggest steps I want to install 2008 server in the system
1. with life cycle controller its not giving os Deployment currupted
2. when I install with other os or any other ways I get blue screen when it
about to detect the hard disk while installing server

4. PLEASE SUGGEST HOW TO START using Os Deploymnet for windows 2008 server ,Previously I install but its srewed up all settings when I was trying to format and install 2003 server which I know it not support direct
5. Please suggest how to bring back or upgrade or use My usb by procedure repository manager , also I get back my lifecyle controller with windows 2008 server in list to deploy os from here for my POWEEDGE T320
6. Note as this is new machine and stand alone now I have no access from any client its new. I got net dsl to connect with any other machine and can download any thing so my lifecycle with factory default having os option with windows 8 server installation should be back.

T310 - video signal not being sent to working monitor
Hi,
I have a T310 server and when I boot it up there is no video signal being sent to the monitor. So far, I have replaced the cable and monitor (tested to make sure they both worked on another box, they do), and still no video signal being sent to the monitor when plugged into the vga onboard the T310. Even have adde a new PCI-e video card, not working, but that might be due to BIOS setting change that needs to be made first?
Either way, how do I get into the BIOS if no video signal is ever being sent to the monitor? What other troubleshooting ideas do you have? If this is the, what I assume, is an integrated video/motherboard issue, how do I determine that? Cost for new motherboard/etc in a T310?
All troubleshooting ideas much appreciated!

Please is there a new generation server that contain this 3 Slots or even if it support a PCI-X or Universal PCI eriser Kit.

PowerEdge 2850 Circa 2005 Stuck on Boot Screen of Press CTRL-M to run configuration utility
Came in today to find my server was sitting at a screen that says Press CTRL-M ti run configuration utility. I have pulled the riser card out and re-installed it. Pulled out each Hard Drive and replaced them one by one. Pulled out the Controller cable and reseted and still have the same error. What might be the problem.

Dell FS12-NV7 information?
Hello,
There is a seller on eBay unloading a bunch of servers listed as "Dell FS12-NV7" models. They have a hardware list of: 2x 6-core AMD processors, 32GB of RAM, 12 HDD trays (no drives included), dual gigabit ethernet (looks like on-board, not an addon card), and a 500W non-redundant power supply. I've googled and searched on dell's site, but I can't seem to find any information on this model. A couple of results push me towards EquiLogic systems, but I don't think that's what this is. Can anyone out there shed any light on what this is?
If it pans out, I might pick one up to buy as an additional (or even replacement) ESX host and combine it with my current NAS. But I need to know what these things are before I bite :). The pictures have no service tag, and when I asked for one, the seller said there is no service tag or express service code on it at all, which struck me as odd.

system crash - PROC_1 Status processor sensor IERR
Last night we had one of our critical control systems crash and power off. The only indication of the problem is in the ESM logs. When the system was powered on the error condition on the panel when away. All appears fine now. The big question is why? And will it happen again?

Change smtp "From" address (R815)
Hi,
Is it possible to change the "From" address of the DRAC?
We cannot get a particular address to send alerts via smtp unless it has a certain suffix for smtp.
Or is there another way to get the DRAC alerts without SMTP?

R610 RAM Upgrade
We would like to upgrade our server's memory but we are confused about the supported configurations.
Currently we have 24 GB in 6 slots (4 GB each in A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3 slots). These memory modules are DDR3 1066MHz. We would like to populate the remaining 6 slots with as much RAM as possible.
Questions:
1) Do I need to purchase 1066MHz RAM, or can I buy 1333 or 1600?
2) Can I buy 6 x 8 GB dual-ranked RDIMM modules and simply install them into slots A4, A5, A6, B4, B5, B6?
3) If not, what would be the best configuration to get the maximum amount of RAM?

Power Vault - nf500 error message
The Power Vault NF 500 would not boot so we ran a diagnostic and got the following: error code 2900:0221 msg: IPMI<system boot> system internal expansion board: cable /interconnect sensor (status) configuration error “riser”.
We disconnected and reseated all the cables and hard drives. Still getting the error message. Any ideas?

PowerEdge R620, iDRAC7 virtual console will not pass keys to server
I have a non-working keyboard issue like in this thread:

Installed OS is the latest VMware ESXi.
The virtual console correctly shows the ESXi screen, but keyboard input does not work at all.
Menu command Macros/Alt-sysrq-B dismisses the ESXi screen saver though. But nothing else
My browser is IE10 on Win7 x64 host.
Help?

Help with locating NIC drivers for a 2950
I installed Windows XP SP3 in my dell 2950 server earlier this year and I need to get the system on my small office network to move large video files. Since XP was not an original OS option there are no drivers listed for the NIC card. Can someone help me with this?
The service tag is (Svc Tag Removed By Moderator). It has a Broadband Netxtreme II card according to the boot screen.

DVD Drive in PowerEdge 850 - is it possible?
I have a number of PowerEdge 850's that I have acquired used. All but one has a laptop-style CD reader installed above SATA drive 0.
The last one I acquired has a DVD drive - but will only read CDs, and the BIOS recognizes it as a CD drive.
Is it possible to install a DVD reader or writer in place of the CD drive?

Options to update a Poweredge R710 server with latest firmware when ESXi 5.0 is installed

What are my options to update the Poweredge R710 server when ESXi 5.0 is installed?
Unfortunately is the Lifecylce Controller broken, it is in a loop and restart the server all the time until I pull the plugs off the server.
As another way I downloaded the Dell Repository Manager 1.4 and created the Linux V440 bundle. I was able to export the bundle to a SUU iso. Can I now boot the server with this ISO and apply the firmwares?
Actually I wanted to use the deployment media option, but it fails to create the ISO.
Uff, I don't have an easy time to upgrade my servers with the new firmwares.

GPUS and iDRAC working together (Poweredge T620 or R720)
Hello to everybody from Spain and thank you for your help,
we have 12 PE servers all around Spain in several places, we attack them via iDRAC Enterprise,
know we would like to renew them ( some of them are PE2950) and buy T620 or R720 because we are plannig to deploy a VDI, we need to use remote FX for our virtual machines, so we would like to install Nvida or ATI GPUs but it seems not to be posible,
the fact is that we have to choose at BIOS the integrated video card or the pci xpress GPU, if we use the integrated we can´t use remoteFX, and if we use the pci Xpress we lose the iDRAC Enterprise feature and no image is shown.
is it imposible to use both video cards?, are not compatible iDRAC with added GPU?

Power management firmware unresponsive - Pe M620
Hi there,
We are having a weird problem with a couple of our new M620 ESX hosts. For some reason, they become totally unresponsive, cannot access them through the DRAC console, and IDRAC gui.
The only way around this is to virtually re-seat the server via the cmc console.
The below is the error recorded in the life-cycle log of the actual blade server. It also resets the date to the below.

Detailed Description:
The iDRAC controller cannot communicate with the power management firmware. The system may operate in a performance degraded state.
Recommended Action:
"1) Disconnect system input power, wait one minute, reconnect system input power. 2) Re-flash system BIOS. 3) Upgrade system BIOS to the latest revision."

Any ideas as to what can be causing this? and a possible fix/firmware revision that might help?

Adding 16GB RAM Modules to PowerEdge r610
Has anyone got this to work? I am looking to get 96GB installed into an r610 with 6x16GB DIMMS. If so, what slots/memory settings are required for successful install.
