I have a PSU0003 error on my PowerEdge R520's LED Display. The problem is resolved (pulled power plug while reconfiguring cables) but I don't know how to clear the error. Thanks for any help!

Booting options in dell r610 poweredge with perc 6/i raid controller
hello sir,
I have a new question about dell power-edge, actually i wanted to know this server is working on only raid configuration and for the safety purpose of data, are we able to use a flash drive for booting purpose( os ex: esxi,linux,windows) of server so that data will be store in SAS drive and OS will be separate in flash drive ?
please clear my doubt...thanks

Dell R610 reboots
I started getting these errors in the Server Manager event log as of recently and the server is rebooting and blue screens.
A runtime critical stop occurred.
A bus fatal error was detected on a component at slot 2.
A bus fatal error was detected on a component at bus 0 device 9 function 0
The Server manager is asking to update the DELL PERC 6/E Adapter RAID Controller DRIVER, but I cannot find anything on the DELL website except the FW for that device.
Can these two issues be related, any other suggestions or where can I find this driver?

Dell power edge R815does not give display
Hi Everyone,
We have Dell Power edge R815 server it were working fine and all of sudden its starting stuck, then we have to manually reboot the server. we did it for one to two days. Then we shutdown the server. After two days when we powered on the server, the server does not show any display.
Any idea/suggestion

idrac upgrade / fan speed poweredge t620
I recently upgrade my idrac firmware to 2.10.10.10 from 1.46.45. Since then my fan speeds now run at 2000-2100rpm with normal load. Prior to the upgrade they were running at 1200rpm approx.
I've tried all the suggestions in previous post
- set system profile to disable c1e
- set system profile to disable c1e and c
- tried using different thermal setting in drac setup
- read all the pdf on thermal/cooling and optimal power
I have ESXi 5.5 installed and update everything using suu in lm to latest, so bios is 2.5.2.
I use the server in a homeoffice and would like the fans to be as quiet as possible. If I downgrade to firmware 1.46.45 everything is back to normal but that doesn't feel like an acceptable solution.
Any solutions to quiet down these fan?

Been looking all over and cannot for the life of me find any firmware updates for it.

We are on 9.2 and it seems to make reference to 9.8, but there is no firmware downloads at all.

VLT0204 System board PS2 PG Fail voltage is outside of range.
I have a PowerEdge R520 with this error and found a thread here with a solution which includes taking the server to minimum configuration. The thread,
"VLT0204 System board PS2 PG Fail voltage is outside of range. Contact support"
has the user going to minimum and rebuilding, clearing the error but not revealing any failing component.
I would just like to know if there is not a way to diagnose and clear this error without taking my server out of production. This is just a cya as my boss looked incredulous when I told him we had to take it to minimum to clear this error. Thanks.

R900 showing E1410 CPU 1 IERR and No Display

Upgrade memory on Dell PowerEdge R420
I have a Dell PowerEdge R420, 2 CPU Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5620 and 8 memories model HMT31GR7CFR4A-H9 installed.
I want to upgrade the RAM on the system, adding 4 more HMT31GR7CFR4A-H9 module but not sure if I can do it. I read the manual but fails to find the answer.

script to retrieve CMC IP returns invalid address
Hello, I've been using this powershell script, VRTX_CMCIPAddress.ps1, (
http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/b/techcenter/archive/2013/11/21/in-band-retrieval-of-the-chassis-management-controller-s-cmc-s-ip-address ) for months now, in order to get the current VRTX CMC ip address from an installed blade OS, by leveraging the Microsoft IPMI built-in driver. The OS is always Windows 2012 R2. Lately, when I set the CMC to get its ip from a DHCP server, the script sometimes fails, returning "odd" addresses like 0.204.0.52.
When this happens, I usually have to reattach the CMC network cable or restart the CMC (!), in order to have the script to report back the correct CMC ip.
Any idea on what might be the cause of this issue?

T410 Voltage Sensor fail
I have a T410 that shuts off after about 30 seconds with no errors or warnings, When I ran the Hardware Diags, the system failed with a failure code of: Error Code IPMI 2900:0221, MSG, <System Boot> System Board:: Voltage Sensor (5V PC) State Asserted "System Board". I am not able to stay logged onto the server in normal mode but can keep the server running in Safe Mode. I was not able to locate any errors in the Windows logs that indicate anything amiss in the OS, By the time the remote location notified us that they were experiencing issues with this unit constantly rebooting the RAID has experienced massive disk corruption which I was able to correct with Disk Check. The server will boot with no errors or messages and then just power off after about 30 seconds with no warning. Can this component be replaced and is so then what would be the part #, Since this is out of warranty I am looking for any assistance possible to repair this issue as this is still a good server that just happened to fail following the warranty expiration.

mixed UDIMM RDIMM memory error when all memory is ECC Registered
We have an R620 which has 16 x 16GB. They were supplied originally by Dell and have the part number M393B2G70DB0 printed on them and so a quick google reveals this spec

i.e. RDIMMS which are ECC Registered and Dual Rank
We purchased 8 x 32GB RDIMMS from Dell which have the part number M386B4G70DM0 on them so again a quick google reveals this spec

So they are also ECC Registered and Quad Rank
Having read the tech spec I presumed that I would be able to put
8 x 32GB in A1,2,3,4 and B1,2,3,4
8 x 16GB in A5,6,7,8 and B 5,6,7,8
In particular I noted
- Quad rank has to go in 1,2,3,4 (White slots)
- Dual Rank should go in 5,6,7,8 (Black slots)
- Green slots are left blank
However when I did that I got an error on boot up before even the BIOS was loaded than complained about mixed UDIMM and RDIMM and saying to check memory in A5.
Have I missed something?

Where to configure SNMP on iDrac 8?
Hi,
We have a couple new servers and they showed up on some Security reports because their SNMP string was set to Public.
I logged into the iDrac and went to Alerts, SNMP & Email, and changed the Community String from Public to what we normally use.
I then ran a racadm racreset command in case it needed to reset before it woudl take effect.
Our security guy reran his checks and the server still shows up as showing Public.
Is there somewhere else in the iDrac interface that might have an SNMP settings I can change?
