Four PER510 servers running ESXi 5.0, all stuck at BIOS version 1.4.0, with equally outdated firmware. Tried every conceivable update method: flash drive, CD/DVD SUU,.OMSA, OME, via UEFI and iDRAC. All attempts result in same error message: 'the package you are trying to apply is not a Dell approved package.' All packages were downloaded from Dell FTP and HTTP sites. Have dedicated one server to OME and have set up two repositories, to no avail. The situation is ridiculous and I am about to recommend that the government refrain from renewing waranty coverage for these things and just move on to another vendor.
