Hi all,
I updated the BIOS on my T110ii server to the latest version (2.8.0), and all went well during the upgrade and the updater rebooted the machine. But now the server does not boot anymore. It keeps power cycling: it starts, and after about 10 seconds, the PSU shuts down and retstarts continuously. There's nothing displayed on the screen (the monitor stays in power save mode all the time).
What I tried so far:
- Remove everything except CPU + 1 memory module (as suggested in my placed for minimum POST) -> no luck
- If I remove all memory modules, the server does not power cycle, and the front panel shows "3-4" (memory error). However, I can ping the remote management address and send IPMI commands (with IPMI tool). Is there a way to reflash the BIOS with IPMItool or any other utility via the basic BMC interface? That could be my last chance before having the motherboard replaced...
