Old reliable PE 2600 suddenly crashes/reboots with STOP error, event ID 1003

I have an 8 year old Dell PowerEdge 2600 running Windows 2003 SP2 32bit  thatr has never had a problem. Now in the past week I've been having the system crash with a memory dump and Windows event ID 1003.

I tried to run windbg on both minidump.dmp and memory.dmp without finding a positive indicator of the problem. I did notice it crashed in process csrss.exe and does show module name hard_disk, but the RAID5 disks don't show any signals of a problem.

Anyone have an idea or suggestion where I should begin looking for a solution? Such as a memory test? I am going to install some firmware/updates from Dell support but it doesn't appear current firmware is far behind latest.
