Ok, so 2 nights ago my Dell R200 server became unresponsive (failed to respond to ping or ssh). I power cycled it using IPMI, but it never came back online. Had the data center check it out and they couldn't get any type of display to come up when trying to connect to the front or back of the server and no diagnotic lights. There is a single amber light, but nothing on the A, B, C, or D lights. I can connect through IPMI and get basic sensor info and confirm the chassis power is on. I am getting cpu fan speeds when i check the sensors and the DC has confirmed the fans are spinning up like normal when its turned on. They tried taking out ram to see if any of it was bad, but no difference. No beep codes either. I am 7 hours away, so its kind of hard for me to troubleshoot it and am searching for ideas. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Its out of warranty, so unfortunately there isnt a simple/cheap way to just try out new parts.
