last week my 2900 series III wouldn’t boot and gave me a fail safe error. after disassembling it and re assembling it booted and operated fine. Sometime during the week it crashed again, now it is failing POST and I am getting PCIe Training Error: NIC 2. I cant even access BIOS, the system halts. Before ordering a new motherboard I would like to try re-flowing this board at home. I have successfully done this with several laptop boards. However, the only time I tried it with a desktop board a capacitor exploded in my oven. I have access to a laser temp gage and a heat gun as an alternative. What IC should I be targeting with the heat gun? Would I be better off trying to re-flow the entire board in the oven? Much thanks!
