Hi All.
I am trying to enable and turn on persistent Wake On Lan ability for the Dell PowerEdge 1750 Server.
From a Linux Shell it was possible to turn the Wake On Lan Feature on the Server with this Command here but only for one Reboot. The Change was not Persistent.
ethtool 0 –s wol g
Based on the Dell Server Documentation to turn on the Wake on Lan Feauter in a Persisten Modus called also as D0uninitialized or Out-of-Box Modus i would need to Use the BroadCom Tool B57UDIAG.EXE like this in a DOS Environment.
B57UDIAG.EXE –w 1 –c 0
After Enabling the Wake On Lan Feature with the Command B57UDIAG.EXE and a Reboot however i am not able to Power On the Server like Before over the Network in contrary to what the Documentation says.
The Output of the Command B57UDIAG.EXE confirmed that Wake On Lan Feature was enabled and turned on for the specific Network Device but no Ethernet Leds are Blinking compared to my first atemp with Linux where everything worked like it should.
Can anybody tell me how to Enable and Turn on the Persistent Wake On Lan Feature for the PowerEdge 1750 Server?
What i am doing wrong?
