I have a Dell server that is running Windows Server 2003 that is not physically located near me. I can access the computer via RDP without any issue. However, I can not access the server via my IP KVM, which is used as a back-up. At this point in troubleshooting, I am pretty sure that the default resolution of the G200ew is too high for the KVM. I want to change it to something like 800x600.
Of course, when using RDP, I am using a virtual video driver, and do not have access to the settings of the physical video card. I have been looking at the registry settings, but I can't make sense of them. i.e they don't have obvious binary values that translate to video resolutions.
How can I adjust the default video settings of the G200ew via RDP? Or, at least see what the default resolution is?
