PowerEdge UPS Settings

Hi all,

I'm currently running through the setup for a PowerEdge UPS I am settings up but have a question about the following settings:

Could someone tell me the different between shutdown timer and shutdown duration? And the does the shutdown option send a signal to Windows to shutdown straight away or is it better to use a script?
