We are having problems booting up our Poweredge 840 server. When turning it on we get an amber flashing light, fan does not come on. We have a known good working server on site that is identical, so we swapped out fans - both fans work in known good server, neither fan works in problem server. We then swapped out power supplies, still no difference. We leave the known good server alone, put the problem server back together and turn on power, still flashing amber light. We leave the light flashing for awhile and it eventually turns Blue, and we can then boot up and server seems to working properly? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! We use this server for our RIP so are completely down if server doesn't boot up. Thanks in advance!
