On a Dell T620 we virtualized one SBS2011 en Windows 2008 R2 RDP server. In the ping traffic between the two machine there is sometimes a hiccup. Ping response goes up from < 1ms up to 50-70 ms response time, after the hiccup everything is back to normal.
I tried the following settings on both (virt) servers:
Netsh int tcp setglobal RSS=Disable
Netsh int tcp setglobal chimney=Disabled
Netsh int tcp setglobal autotuninglevel=Disabled
Netsh int tcp setglobal congestionprovider=None
Netsh int tcp setglobal ecncapability=Disabled
Netsh int ip setglobal taskoffload=disabled
Netsh int tcp setglobal timestamps=Disabled
I tried the VMXNET 2 and 3 Vmware network card.
I set the MTU size from 1500 to 1400 on the RDP server. Still I have no change in behaviour.
Physical network card is the Intel with the igb driver for ESXi.
ESXi version is 5.1.0. 799733
Does anyone have an good idea?
Kind regards,
