I have a bit dated but still nicely running server and am wondering if the ram upgrade will be compatible and would be really grateful if someone can help me out.
I currently have Xeon(R) CPU X3450 in system
with 6 sticks of HYNIX HMT125R7TFR8C-H9 2GB DDR3 1333 REG 2Rx8
and was looking at nice deal of cheap Kingston KVR13LR9S4L/8 8GB 1Rx4 1G x 72-Bit PC3L-10600 CL9 Registered w/Parity 240-Pin DIMM
First question, would the server boot if I put in 2 sticks of 8GB 1Rx4 together with 4 sticks of 2GB 2Rx8?
Or if it doesn't work like that can I just put in 3 sticks of 8GB 1Rx4?
Don't have currently physical access to server do to it being next town over in basement :P but this is what shell shows about my current rams
