Currently running a dozen vms on 2 ESXi 6.5 hosts connected to a Dell 2700W/2300W UPS via UPS Local Node Manager connected to a network mgmt card. I see there is a location to run a shutdown script but don't now the best approach to do this. I see articles out there to use vSphere CLI to write these scripts and I'm no script writer by any means.
Looking for guidance here whats the best way to test this on one of the non critical vms before setting it up to do all once a power failure occurs and they all have to be shut down.
