Good morning.
I have a Dell PowerEdge R630 that was purchase with a Qlogic 57840S daughter card, by mistake. I replaced the QLogic card with a Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet BCM5720 card, as I have them in several other R630. After installing the card I receive the following error on boot:
'HWC2005 System board Riser cable or interconnect failure'
The system will boot in spite of the error, but the NIC will not communicate with the switch. When I run the Windows diagnostic scan it states there is no ethernet cable found, or bad. I know the cables that I have used are not bad and am not sure how to resolve the issues. I have updated the Broadcom NetXtreme drivers to the latest available.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
