I have bought Dell R720 E5-2650 with 16GB RAM
CPU: 1 x E5-2650 (8 cores, 20MB cache).
RAM: 16GB.
HDD: Raid 6.
And I planned to run about 300 sites in this server. But currently I'm having performance issue.
I used VMWare ESXi 5.1 as the main OS, and then setup CentOS 5.8 (32 Bit) as a VPS to run.
The configuration of this VPS like this:
CPU: 6 cores (Not Share).
RAM: 10GB (Not Share).
Currently I have about 80 sites and the loading always high compare to server's hardware (Not much difference with old server which use 5GB RAM, CPU E3-1230 with 4 cores, CentOS 64 bit, runs all sites like my new server). Current server has this info:
Load Average: Often from 2 to 4.5 in Rush hour.
CPU: About 10%.
IO Waiting: 0%.
Tasks: about 311 to 360.
Swap: 72kb used.
