Hey all.
So I may have done a real bad thing with my PE2950 III and am hoping you may be able to help. I was tinkering around with it (AKA getting my learn on) and installed Vista Ultimate on the server. I noticed it didn't install network drivers so I searched Broadcom's website for the Vista Drivers. I found what I thought were the Vista drivers for the internal NIC but man was I wrong. Turned out it was a firmware flash update for the NIC.
So to make a long story short, not the server boots up but it takes 3 times as long for it to post. The Dell logo shows up with the progress bar at the bottom and it hangs for around 1 1/2 minutes at the 1/3 mark and then starts the boot up progress. however, when the NIC card is being initialized it hangs there as well for around 2 minutes. Much longer than it did before being flashed. Is there any way to get this back to normal again?
Cheers.
