PowerEdge T605 hard drive full, software old

Hello, 

2 Main problems:

Hard drive is full

When our software programs were installed, the were programmed on to a smaller drive and now that small drive is full.  When we try to move them to larger drives, errors come up because the system is locked down. I need to know if there is a way that we can move them?

Software is old

Is the PowerEdge T605 too outdated to run Windows Server 2012? We would like to be able to continue using the same server, but if need be could purchase a new one. 

Also

Any more information on about this server and how to use it is appreciated, because I am new to it. Would it be suggested to bring in professionals?
