Dell R320 Getting Slow - No recovery until power-off - unplug -> The speed of processor in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for YYYYY seconds since the last report.

HI All,

we are experiencing a R320 server getting extremely slow after using it for few days. Symptoms are that the CPU goes to fixed use of 10-15% and everything becomes very slow almost unusable. Even if you "kill" all main processes or you restart the server or you power it off, no improvement are appearing. The only way to recover the server is by powering it off, unplugging from power distribution and start it again. There isn't any error log in the system besides a warning on CPU speed:

"The speed of processor  in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for YYYYY seconds since the last report."

Any idea/suggestion?

Controllers/Frimware are:

iDRAC7 2.10.10 (Build 49)
Lifecycle Controller 2 2.10.10.10

Thanks,

Regards,

Andrea
