I have a Dell T20 with the stock Sata 7200 RPM HDD and I've added a 240gb ssd (It's says in the bios that I'm in Raid mode and not AHCI, but both these disks are independent, I'm assuming there is no raid config)
I tried to change the boot sequence for my SSD (which has the O.S.) to be my first boot device, then the Sata HDD, then USB and then cd/dvd. But I kept going into grub rescue (unknown filesystem).
For some reason, even though my OS is on the SSD, when I change the sequence to have the HDD before the SSD, it some how worked.
When I check the disk management utility on Windows 10, it shows that both the Hardrives have 350mb recovery partitions. (shouldnt just one of them have a recovery partion, that is the drive that has the O.S.) ?
I'm just confused by this behavior as to why it wont boot from the SSD, and why and how two recovery partitions were created
