The BIOS on my Dell R610 was a couple years out of date and I wanted to update it before I re-purposed the server. It was at 3.x.x. I downloaded the .exe for 6.4.0, put it on a DVD, checked the md5 hash, and executed it from the MS Server 2012 R2 OS. The bios .exe ran to completion with no interruptions. It ended and prompted a re-boot. When it rebooted it would not and doesn't come back up. The video display stays dark, monitor says no signal (front or back), no keyboard response (caps lock doesn't light up). The fans spin up, the DVD blinks, then the drives on the two RAIDs light up, the first RAID light up, then the second, then the first RAID drives blink fast for a couple seconds, the second RAID drive lights blink a second, then all 4 drive top lights stay on, and it sits there. I tried a DOS boot USB, tried a boot DVD, tried the NVRAM jumper, pulled the battery and re-installed, no changes. Any ideas how to revert or recover from a BIOS update on a R610?
Thank you,
John
