I have a Dell PowerEdge 2800. The original configuration was (1) Xenon 2.8 GHz processor and 8 GB RAM, along with a SCSI RAID 5. I began receiving the 1-3-2 beep code about a week ago. I pulled the RAM and replaced the sticks one at a time into slot 1B and still got the beep code. I suspected the motherboard and so I purchased one and installed it per the manuals. I also installed another 4 GB or RAM and added another 2.8GHz Xenon Now the server will not post. The fans come on and the lights above each hard drive come on. The server issues a single beep and then the light above the bottom row of drives go out and the lights above the top row of drives stay on. My question is this. I changed out the motherboard and the one I received said Rev A05 on it. My original board said A04. I also did not change the Riser card. Would this have any bearing on my problem? Any help would be appreciated greatly. I have already tried pulling the new processor and just running with the original configuration and still no joy.
