First time 1950 Setup getting errors

Hello everyone,

I just purchased a used Dell 1950 server, without a hard drive. I then purchased a Seagate 500GB hard drive, and was able to boot into server 2008 disk to begin windows install but no hard drive was detected.

I then re booted the computer, pressed F2 at boot to get into bios setup, and enabled the raid card, but now I keep getting a system halt error.

The POST goes through its process, It gets to the part about the raid card, and give this error:

PCIe Degraded link width error: Internal storage slot

Expected link width is x4

Actual link width is x1

Any idea on what could be causing this error?

Also, when I go to boot the server, I press F2 it says entering setup, but continues through post and back to the system halt.
