Hey all,
I just received our poweredge vrtx system with two m520 blade's that are going to be utilized as virtual servers, everything is setup and good to go as far as the blade's and storage goes, however i am trying to get the networking side configured properly, and from what they say you cannot have your OOB on the same subnet as your servers will be on, problem is we are a flat network running the /24 subnet, i would hate having to go through the headache of resubnetting just to get my virtual system up.
My questions is can we totally bypass the OOB not even plug it in and setup a LAG for the 8 port 1gbe switch to our distribution switch, we are a one location shop so if i could just bring up the CMC on the server and manage the configuration from there, would that be a viable solution than trying to resubnet my network.
