I have a customer that has been running two R720 with a Grid K2 card each for some time. Now they want to install a second K2 card in the server and I need some advice to see if that's possible with their current setup.
The servers was ordered with one K2 card so they have the GPU installation kit but they have the riserboard with only one x16 slot: "1 Risers with up to 6, x8 PCIe Slots + 1, x16 PCIe Slot"
The question is if they have to order a new riser board in addition to a new K2 card. Also, is a second GPU installation kit needed or did the firs one include everything needed for a second card?
It might be obvious to some, but I'm new to Dell HW and really need some advice here.
