Dell poweredge 2950 and HP MSL2024 1 LTO-5 Ultrium 3000 SAS Tape Library

I want to know whether I can use a fiber card to connect a Power Edge 2950 server to an external HP MSL2024 1 LTO-5 Ultrium 3000 SAS Tape Library -- (library of 24 tapes, with a total of 72 Tb of data).

Ideally, i want to have my data read only data on a tape drive, to be shared within an intranet and internet with multiple users simultaneously..

If this is possible, please let me know what is the best fiber card to use on a Dell Power Edge 2950 server with the follows specs:

Dell PowerEdge 2950 II
2x Quad Core 5335 2 GHz
32GB RAM
1TB internal hard drive

Perc 5i

Furthermore, is windows 7 ultimate OK to manage this server, or if not, what other OS is best suited (with little ease to use) ?
