I had my previous post removed for some reason, but here it is again:
We have several R210 poweredge servers and find them unrealistically noisy due to their fans. As many others have pointed out in this forum (and others), the fans do not have to run as fast as they do. I have upgraded the bios to the latest version (1.3.4) and they are *still* way, way too loud.
Are Dell going to do anything about this? We were promised a BIOS update to fix this that was supposed to be released in early July but it appears that it hasn't happened?
Are we ever going to have a bios update that stops it sounding like a 747 taking off or is there something else I can try?
