I was wondering if the Xeon E3-1220LV2 (Ivy Bridge) CPU would be compatible with the PowerEdge T110 II. My T110 II is currently running with a Pentium G630 (TDP:65W) and the Xeon would have a TDP of 17W only. However, it does not have an integrated GPU, which should not be an issue, I guess.

I assume that it would be rather a BIOS issue and do not want to buy the Xeon E3-1220LV2 unless I know that it will work in the T110 II.
Any comments are appreciated.

P.S.: Don't mix up with the Xeon E3-1220V2 as this CPU has a TDP of 69W.
