I've noticed one of my PE1950s doesn't display the splash screen (the blue Dell logo) when starting the BIOS, it just displays the BIOS version as plain text.
I've upgarded the BIOS from 2.4.3 to 2.7.0 and it still doesn't show the splash screen.
I did a search and someone mentioned in the desktop forum that this disappears on laptops with fastboot enabled, but I can't see a fastboot option my BIOS settings. Anyone know how to restore the splash screen?
PS: I don't think it makes any difference but just in case, I think the USB keyboard I connected earlier has a sticky backspace key which is causing the BIOS to be a bit slow booting. I wont be able to unplug that until I'm next in the office. (I'm connecting remotely via DRAC)
