Hi,
We have a 1430 that came with a Dual core Xeon E5120 1.8Ghz 1066Mhz FSB CPU and original Bios 1.1
I flashed the bios to the latest version 1.4 and purchased two Xeon E5335 Quad Core 2.0Gh Details below:

I used the Dell web site to make sure I got the right ones, and both have the same stepping (SLAEK) identical CPU's in fact.
However. Even with one CPU in I get the dreaded "Unsupported cpu combination, system halted" in yello when trying to boot.
I've tried with:
- One CPU in socket 0
- One CPU in both socket 0 and 1
- Taking the CPU out of Socket 1 and putting it in Socket 0
- Swapping both CPU's around to test
- Clearing the CMOS jumper
Have I done something wrong? I thought I had checked thoroughly that these CPU's would work. :(
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
