PE 6850 Power Cable

I've got a PE 6850 kicking around for lack of a 220 volt line.  Finally decided to run the line, but I'm not sure what 220v receptacle and power cord I should be using.

This article shows a picture of the various receptacles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NEMA_connector used for 220/240v.

The NEMA 6-15 and 6-20 should do the job, but I'd like to know what the standard is.

The computer side uses a standard three prong computer plug identical to what you would find on a 110v power supply.

Here's the problem I'm stumped by.  When I go here: http://www.amazon.com/6-15P-C13-Power-Cord-Foot/dp/B004WJM2V0/ref=sr_1_23?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1389825723&sr=1-23&keywords=NEMA+6-15+power+cord

That link, if it's still active, shows me a three prong connector featuring a black connection, a white connection and a green/ground connection.  Trouble is the only way I know how to wire it, that will only result in 110v, which won't work with the 6850 power supply.

There are three wires in the plug going into the 6850 power supply.  I need to understand what each of those wires is expecting for voltage.  I suspect that I tie BLACK to the left, GROUND to the center and RED to the right, but it would sure be a comfort if someone could confirm the proper wiring solution.
